What the photos show

The pictures on this page are from homes Sean Cardwell Windows has worked on. They show the range of jobs we take on: replacement uPVC windows, slimline aluminium windows, timber windows, front and back doors, bifold, French and patio doors, and glass balconies.

Look closely and you will see how much the frame colour and style change the look of a house. White uPVC suits many homes, while darker aluminium frames give a more modern finish. Bifold and patio doors open a room up to the garden, and French doors suit a more traditional property.

Not every job is a full replacement. We also carry out double glazing work, replacement glass units, frame repairs, lock repairs and remedial works, so a window or door that is draughty, misted or hard to lock may only need a repair.

Repair work rarely makes a dramatic photo, but it matters just as much. Fixing a dropped door, replacing worn hinges or swapping a failed glass unit can make an older window or door feel solid again without the cost of starting from scratch.

Window photos are a good way to compare sightlines. Slimline aluminium frames leave more of the opening as glass, uPVC frames are a practical, low-maintenance choice for many homes, and timber windows keep the character of older properties. Door photos show the difference between doors that fold back fully, doors that slide, and pairs of doors that open outwards.
