Sean Cardwell Windows is based in Weston-super-Mare and covers Bristol and North Somerset. Each town we work in has its own mix of homes, from seafront villas to city terraces and modern estates, and each area page below goes into the property types and typical jobs found there. If your town is not listed, get in touch anyway and we can tell you whether we can help.

Windows and glazed doors on a residential property

Weston-super-Mare

Our home town, with Victorian and Edwardian houses near the seafront, interwar streets inland and newer estates on the edges. Coastal weather shapes many window and door choices here.

Bristol

A large, hilly city of terraces, interwar semis and modern flats, with conservation areas such as Clifton and Redland. We have dedicated pages for some of the most requested Bristol work.

Clevedon

A Victorian seaside town with a pier, hillside roads and villas facing the Severn estuary, where period styling and sea exposure both matter.

Nailsea

A town that grew quickly from the 1960s onwards, so many homes are family houses and bungalows ready for their second or third set of windows.

Yatton

A village with older cottages around the centre and a good deal of later housing, served by its railway station on the line to Bristol.

Highbridge

A town next to Burnham-on-Sea on the Somerset Levels, with terraced streets, post-war homes and flat, open ground that catches the wind.

Burnham-on-Sea

A seaside town on the Bristol Channel known for its lighthouses, with bungalows, seafront houses and newer estates all exposed to salt air.

Portishead

Marina apartments and the older hillside town bring different priorities: communal elevations and access for flats, or sympathetic proportions for Victorian and Edwardian houses. Coastal exposure is worth considering alongside the room layout.

Bridgwater

Around the River Parrett, older terraces sit alongside later family housing. Opening sizes, street access and the condition of existing frames help determine whether replacement glazing or a targeted repair is the sensible starting point.

Cheddar

Stone cottages, village-centre properties and more recent homes need different window details. The Cheddar page also considers nearby village housing, heritage appearance and weather around the Mendip slopes.
